Fun to see, even if you don't play Tennis
You can walk the grounds for free, but it costs money to go inside the museum. I just walked the grounds, and watched some games being played on the perfect grass courts. Everyone wears all White tennis attire, so its all quite a site to see. There are nice shops & restaurants surrounding it, which I preferred to the busy Thames Street scene.

    Nice Afternoon Tour
This was recommended by the owners of the inn where we were staying. Admission was reasonable. It’s a self guided tour, but you can pay $3 extra for the audio tour. We opted for the self guided tour. Although my husband and I are not huge tennis fans, they had enough memorabilia to keep our interest. There’s a lot of information to read throughout the rooms, and you can make it as long or short as you choose. They also have some interactive displays and a Roger Federer experience that was worth watching.
