Brief visit

We enjoyed our brief visit to this park while vacationing in Newport. There is a wonderful paved path that follows the shoreline and can be combined with other trails through the woods. Though it was midweek, there many people of all ages enjoying picnics, sunbathing and other activities though parking was not a problem. I would likely be walking my dog here everyday if we lived nearby.

    Open once again
    Thank goodness the park is once again open for walking. All the tables (hundreds of them) have been piled up to prevent gatherings but the parking areas are open and it is a great place for a walk. Please wear a mask (many young people we saw were not).

    Great place to spend afternoon
    Whether your just sitting on a bench enjoying the view, biking, walking it’s a great place to spend a few hours enjoying the view. I stopped one afternoon when I had a few hours to kill - picked up a sandwich at the BeeHive cafe in Bristol just a few blocks away and ate it on a bench while I enjoyed the view. Enjoyed a nice stroll along the waters d explored some paths in the park. Great place to relax and take in the beauty.
