Redington Shores Beach Access, Florida, United States

4.5 (198 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Redington Shores Beaches

Perfect Place to Chill

We spent four days at the beach. The sand is white and powder soft. The water is a beautiful green. The waves are calm. It’s an ideal beach if you have babies/toddlers. You can watch dolphins from your beach chair! I didn’t see one lifeguard the entire 4 days, that includes walking up and down the beach. There are a few benches to sit on. Beware of birds! Seagulls and other birds are all over the beach. They’re very loud and annoying. Maybe it’s not uncommon for so many birds to be crowding the beach this time of year?

    Beautiful Day
Quick visit in late February. 70 degrees. Beach sand soft and clean. Not too busy this time of year. Plenty of great eateries along the beach road - put the fast food stuff behind you and get into a small business owned restaurant. B U S Y area to eat on a Saturday night - might want to start like old people and be there early!! Public parking $2.00/hour

Beautiful quiet beach but no seashells
We've been staying at Redington Beach all winter, testing to see if we want to purchase a winter home here. We usually stay in Clearwater but the prices are much higher there. So, here are our pros and cons for this area. PROS: it's quieter here, the sand is the soft powdering white sugar sand, I mostly see older people here and not so many spring-breaker parting types, there are more waves than a lot of the gulf area so if you like body surfing there's a better chance here, there are plenty of good local places to walk to eat, the traffic is not bad, you can ride a bike on the beach or on the road, there are paths marked along the roadside. The nightly sunsets are incredibly beautiful, especially if it's been a stormy cloudy, or rainy day and there are lots of birds to watch, sandpipers, seagulls, etc. and they are not afraid of people! CONS: It is pretty cold here until about March, walking the beach requires a coat, etc, swimming and playing in the surf are for those who can stand the cold, and the biggest drawback for us was that we didn't ever find any seashells on this beach the entire time we were here (5 months) Clearwater, Sarasota area etc has tons and tons every morning, in fact, most beaches in FL have tons of seashells but absolutely none here that we could find. There are lots of beautiful sandpipers and seagulls to watch and the sunset can't be beat! Hope this helps with your decision on which beach to book for your stay.
