Fantastic for relaxing, swimming & bird watching
8000 riels/$2 pp entrance fee for foreigners. Great value for money. Spent day pretty much by ourselves on a jetty, reading and swimming in the lake. A 3.30pm walk around the crater lake reveals plenty of colourful birds.

Beautiful area, great for a couple of hours get away.
$2 entry. It stated 50 cents for motorbike but they didn’t charge me. Very friendly local food & souvenir vendors. The lake is very pretty. Looks small but it will take you 1 hour to walk it as you’ll stop to look at the lake, take photos, look at the spiders and countless beautiful butterflies. I spent over 2 hours there. Nice spot. Can also swim there.

Peaceful place for a stroll
This was one of the attractions of Banlung and we are happy we went here. We "hiked" all around the lake, stopping here and there for pictures. There are a few docks close to the entrance and some places where you can rent space with hammocks to hang out in. We saw mostly locals and everyone was enjoying themselves. It was also nice to see that it is kept pretty clean and there isn't trash everywhere like the rest of Cambodia. It isn't overdeveloped (yet) and there are stalls to buy trinkets from but the hawkers are not aggressive and you can stroll by in peace. I would recommend this place if you are in the area. We walked around the whole lake in around 2 hours and we were in no rush. The trail is in pretty good shape and you could walk the whole thing in sandals if you wanted to.
