Beautiful Area by The Water

Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue is about a 30 min drive from downtown Montreal. It's the water where you can see a lot of docked boats as well as boats navigating the waters. The main street is full of restaurants and little shops. The area is always packed during the summer time but it's still a great place to visit, take a stroll on the main street and an ice cream.

    Summer fun
On Lake St. Louis at the west end of Montreal, this small town comes alive in the summer and feels like a resort town. Lots of excellent restaurants with outdoor terraces, and great ambiance. Parking is a problem at popular times, but most of the time you can find something within no more than three or four blocks. I live around here and enjoy it year round.

Waterfront with a lot of food choices
A fun place to go near the city, yet not the city. If you are a tourist in Montreal, a great "day" trip out of the city. You can take the city buses there all on one fare. Many dining choices some with patios on the water. Nice boardwalk too. An old lock and canal there managed by Parks Canada. Try Peter's seafood restaurant, with patio. A few ice cream places too. Waterfront parks not far from there too. Don't miss Daoust, a century old small department store which sells clothes and homewares.
