Whales! Whales! Whales!

This was an amazing experience! We saw Queen (a humpback whale) play in the kelp, a mink whale, a set of humpback whales, beluga whales and a seal. Simon, our guide/sailor, was really accomodating and friendly. It was an amazing time. They provide thick jackets and slush pants, which was greatly appreciated as it was really cold out on the water.

    WHALES!!!!
Incredible, we did a tour and wasn't sure what to expect. Our captain was Simon, he did a great job in talking to us and speaking English to us. Lucky everyone on board understood English so he was able to just do it in one language. it was a very hot day and we were not sure about them giving us parkas to wear but you definitely need them. It was a chilly ride out to see the whales. We seen Minke and Humpback whales. What an experience. great value for you money. Was an experience we won't forget and we got some fantastic pictures too. Thank you Simon for our wonderful trip!!

    Whales guaranteed, tails possible :)
This is the second time we took a cruise with this company, although the first one was about 10 years ago. A few things have changed since. First, now you do not drive all the way to the pier, you park at their office and they take you down to the pier by a small school bus. Also, they should probably make it more clear on their website - you should wear some warm clothes but they supply everyone a thick jacket which is exactly what you need on the river. So, do not try to get your winter coat with you, just wear something with the sleeves, warm pants (long ones) and warm socks/shoes. Think about your kids, their legs will get cold, give them something warm. The ride was good, we saw many whales and took plenty of pictures. There was one point that I did not understand and it was not like before - the captain, for some reason, did not approach the whales, so we had to watch them from a large distance. Other boats were 3-4x closer to them. Our boat was consistently far from them. Even my daughter noticed that and complained that other boats were much much closer to the action.
