Versace, Gucci, Bob Mackie oh my! A Unique Experience 4 the Family!
I am still in awe that an expo of this caliber is FREE?? Open to everyone?! But it is! Leave at least 45 minutes to see all the barbies, including the showcases, which are beyond phenomenal. What makes these barbies so incredible is the detail on many of the designer outfits. You will need time just to dissect some of them, the detail is amazing. You will travel the world through the barbies at this expo and the outfits from all over the world are beautifully handcrafted - these outfits are not the ones you buy in the stores, that's for sure. You will enjoy outfits by Versace, Bob Mackie, Burberry and much more! The Mackie dresses were simply stunning. And the showcases are incredibly detailed. I spent most of my time looking at the small details, that if you rush, you will not see. I am not even going to load all my photos to keep it a surprise! It's in a small upscale mall of sorts on Rue Peel. Google maps will help you find it. Don't worry about missing it, it's a permanent exhibit and they have all the social media channels, be sure to follow them! I was so pleasantly surprised I will absolutely visit it again when I go back to Montreal. You don't even need to be a Barbie fan to appreciate the craftsmanship, creativity and fun that this expo provides. It's an activity the entire family can enjoy, even the boys. Although it was winter when we went, it would be a great thing to do on a rainy day too. I still cannot believe it was free. You would never in a million years see an expo like this for free in the US. The only reason I gave it four out of 5 stars is that they have this adorable Lifesize barbie box for instagrammable photos, but it was dingy and dirty - it really needs to be replaced. I would have loved to have taken a photo in there - but it didn't look like something anyone would want to touch. I wish they would replace it. Also four stars because I am not sure who made all these outfits? Did the designers themselves sign off on them? Would have been fun to know. Still, it's a must see, you won't see anything like it anywhere else.

    Barbie at Her Best
We spent a wonderful hour at this expo. Someone has spent a huge amount of time putting this together and it works brilliantly, with Barbie costumes from all over the world and from some of the top fashion designers too. Well worth an hour out of the day. . . . and its free, unlike the Basilica.
