Be sure to go at 7pm for Tibetan dancing
Just a couple blocks from our hotel you won't want to miss the Tibetan dancing at 7pm each evening. Dancers of all ages join in the traditional circular dancing keeping tradition alive for city folk. It was a joy to watch.

Xinning Square-Tibetan Connections
It is located central of the town. the best time to visit this square is early morning (7-9) when the locals preform Tibetan dance as their daily exercises.

major square
Its a large concrete area in the town center. Getting to there was not easy its pretty much surrounded by road traffic and I ended up taking an underground tunnel as is typical in china it was packed wall to wall with vendors. The square had many locals out doing daily exercise or taking care of their children. Its actually located near the river and i found it more interesting to walk along the river bank down there
