Stunning
Museum of China Tibetan Medicine Culture is destination #1 in Xining. Around 20 minutes from city center by taxi, but it worth it. In Museum I've seen the biggest tangha in the world. I wonder if it is the longest masterpiece of art in the world? Amazing place, a lot of interesting and stunning items. In contrast with Tibetan Museum in Lhasa no propaganda at all.

Highly recommendable
It's located approximately 45 min outside the city centre. Several buses go there, we took bus 1, got of at the end and walked to the museum in about 10 min. It is not Only a very beautiful building, insides information is interesting and the thangka at the 2nd floor is beyond imagination. Will take at least two hours to walk around.

Museum
This museum highlights traditional Tibetan life, medicine's, astronomy and science.But the big wow factor is the 620 metre long thangka (scroll) which charts Tibetan history, and took 400 artists about 4 years to complete.Admission cost is 60 yuan and Bus no 1 will drop you off diagonally opposite a beautifully manicured park in which the museum is in.I showed the bus driver the name of the museum in Mandarin and he indicated where I was to get off in Mandarin( I only speak English) all for the cost of 1 yuan one way
