Taedong rive cruise at night

On our last night in NK, we took the evening cruise on the Taedong river on the Taedonggang river boat. The boat is immense and holds about 300 passengers, is very modern and has really upscale decor. The food was great, (as was the draft beer, ask to try some different flavours) and was served by pretty hostesses dressed up looking like airline stewardesses. The entertainment was first class with the singers dressed up in traditional costumes. The all girls band could really belt out some great music. Pyongyang lit up at night is really quite pretty and takes on a whole different atmosphere, with a great view from the river. I recommend that if you are in the city, you ask your guide to reserve this at outing for you. you will not regret it!!

Majestic river running through the centre of Pyongyang
The Taedong River runs through the centre of Pyongyang and it was never far away whilst seeing the sights of the city. The best view I had of the river was from the top of the Juche Tower which looked truly majestic. Didn't have much time to spend by the river because of the full itinerary but still managed to get a few photo opportunities.

Air is so Pure
Walking along the river, I can boldly say that there never have been a city less polluted than this. How it became so, is the readers guess, but also brings the thought that, fossil fuel is th greatest pollutant in the world!
