Highlight of trip to Puglia

This was maybe the most fun we had on our trip to Puglia. We were staying in Bari but took a day trip to Polignano a Mare to see the city and to go on this boat trip. The dock is about 3km from the famous statue of Domenico Modugno, and we walked there. It's not a great route but it is doable, if you want. One nice bonus is that for 5 Euro, one of the Dorino employees gave us a ride back into town. There were 10 of us on the boat, three couples and one family. Our boat captain was very nice and gave talked about each site first in Italian and then in English for us. The caves are really beautiful and it was great to get out on the water. We also had a couple stops of 10-15 minutes to jump in the water and swim around, which was great. It was affordable and I highly recommend taking this trip.

Lovely boat trip along the Polignano coastline
My girlfriend and I had a 1h30 trip along the Polignano coastline this afternoon with Nicholas. The boat was very comfortable and the organisers were very friendly and approachable. The tour itself was comprehensive and enjoyable - it included all the best parts of the coastline, as well as ample opportunity to swim, including inside the caves and in the open sea. Nicholas (the guide) had a fantastic level of English, was incredibly knowledgeable of the local area and had several interesting and amusing stories to tell along the way. The cost was €25 per person, which we consider great value. If you want a boat trip in Polignano, go with these guys!

First Americans Living in Italy After COVID
Fabulous Tour! I spoke to Nickolas on the phone to reserve a 3 hour private tour on a Saturday. He gave me several options and communicated through WhatsApp sending social media links too. He asked to touch base on two days before and responded quickly when I sent the message on Thursday. The pick up location was near our hotel and I received a message at the pick up time as we walked by the pick up car with the super friendly Antonella driving us to Monopoli to start our tour. Nickolas was waiting in the boat, a fabulous captain with all the local information and passion for the beauty of Polignano a Mare. We headed north to see and enter 11 caves and learn about the area. After we had been on board a few hours Nickolas stopped to serve us homemade focaccia, mozzarella and Prosecco. We didn’t know that was part of the trip so we brought a cooler too. We took tons of pictures, swam in the caves and enjoyed the cool water on a warm day. Nickolas was funny and super to have as a captain for the tour. We are bringing our famiky when travel is allowed to tour with him again. He told us we were the first Americans to visit since Italy reopened, but we live in Napoli. Hoping the American tourists from the states come back to beautiful Italy and enjoy this gorgeous place soon.
