Nice resort.

The resort appeared clean and nice. I was very unhappy with the short dock they put my pontoon at and received no resolution from them. The owner informed me docks were expensive. I bet not as expensive as the lawsuit if my wife or mother had fallen off of it trying to get in boat. Needless to say, boat no longer is there.

    Worst customer service Ever!
    Stay as far away from these people as possible. The owner Kevin knows nothing about customer service and cares nothing about or for you. There are, at least, 5 people just in our small radius of our neighborhood that have had problems with them. They will not resolve issues, everything is your fault and they will keep your money. Stay away - go somewhere else.

    Don’t Rent from Korbinski’s
    DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE! I rented a pontoon for 2 days initially as I have in the past. I have a vacation home on the lake and have been coming up for many years. (1979) I buy all of my licenses, fishing gear, trail permits and send all of our visitors to Korbinski’s for the same and lodging. When I picked up the pontoon, I noticed a very large bend and break in a side rail because I had to untie the boat from the dock (the person working could not figure it out). The boat was tide up very close to the broken rail. I figured it was so apparent, it wasn’t worth pointing out or discussing. As I pulled up to pick up my family, my wife made a remark about the bent and broken side rail, we laughed about it and went on to enjoying or week. We had a great 3 days using the boat. I actually purchased an extra day. The problem is what happened when I returned the pontoon! As I pulled into the dock, the same person that couldn’t unhook the boat was waiting for me along with my 2 cousins. As I pulled in he said, “that doesn’t look good” I had no idea what was about to unfold! I was accused of breaking the railing. (which was broke and poorly repaired some time ago) They called the owner over (Kevin) which first had a different story than the previous worker. The previous worker said “in no way was it damaged before”. Kevin said “it was damaged,fixed and repaired but was not bent”.. lol They had no idea that my cousins that was with me is a metal fabrication expert and a former pontoon builder. The rail was broken before but the story was, I bent the rail and was now responsible for the damage! Let me be clear, the pontoons are beat up, splash fins are practically missing, they have many issues and I was told “do not drive at night because they have no lights” The motor died on me more than once, due to engine problems. I have pictures of the bend the day I took position. They take “cash only” deposits and payments. They are clearly taking advantage of their customers based on other reviews. All I know is, the damage was there and I have proof. I see they response quickly to negative reviews so I hope they understand, every single bit of information about this incident will be forwarded to the Michigan Department of Public Safety, The Better Business Bureau and the local Chamber of Commerce. Looking at other reviews, it’s very clear there is a problem on many levels at Korbinski’s Marine. Im an honest person, if we broke the rail we would have gladly paid for the damage. I have pics of the damage immediately after I rented the boat! Kevin is an unfair business person! Korbinski’s past reviews show this is not the first time this has happened. I have a time stamped photo of the damage shortly after I rented the pontoon that proves the damage was there when I rented it and was there when the owner supposedly drove by it “2 days ago” The owner should take pictures of the entire pontoon and post all of the damages it has! Show everyone the condition of the entire boat you are claiming you “won’t rent” with damages! In response to the owners comment about my review. The owners story has changed several times. I never said “someone pulled themselves up on the rail” the owners said that. He also told me, when he drove by the boat 2 days ago, he could see the bent rail. These people are clearly in the business of not returning cash deposits. Google reviews has many horror stories. The boats have many dings and bends. I am in absolute shock that the dishonesty is so blatant. My fault for not writing down all of the issues on the rental agreement but I would have never imagined these people where this dishonest. Very sad that in America we have Americans treating other Americans like this on the 4th of July!
