Truly exceptional tour
We did four days of tours with Raby (three days in corcovado and one in sierpe) and every day was incredible. He is incredibly knowledgeable and has an amazing eye for spotting wildlife. He is also an exceptional wildlife photographer and helped us adjust camera settings or take pictures through the scope. While we were most excited about the reptiles and amphbians (his night tour of frogs in Sierpe should absolutely not be missed and was the highlight of our 6 weeks in Costa rica) he seems equally knowledgeable across groups. He is exceptionally in tune with the needs of his group - we had two professional wildlife scientists, 3 young kids, and 2 total tourists - and somehow he managed to speak to every one in our group at their level. We are already planning another 10 day return to Costa Rica just to have him guide us ! Raby is as good as it gets!

Great time with Sierpe Frogs
My family and I were really impressed with Raby's knowledge and skill as a herpetologist and photographer and understanding and ability to communicate as a guide. We had planned one tour with Raby before the trip and were so impressed that we booked him for another before we left. If we'd have had more time we'd have planned more. You can tell that the animals - especially the frogs - are Raby's passion as he has spent years doing scholarly research on multiple species to increase the knowledge of the scientific community. Raby is equally as adept at communicating with the people he tours with as he is knowledgeable about the animals he has been studying. He gave us a lot of help with our photography that will help us tremendously with our macro photography going forward. My advice it to spend time researching what animals you want to see and start communicating with Raby well before your trip so you can coordinate your trip. Despite Costa Rica's relatively small size it may take some time to travel a short distance and although a range map may show that a certain species is found in one area there may only be a small relatively remote area that would give you a good chance of seeing that same species. We'll try to book Raby as many times as possible the next time we're able to go to Costa Rica.

Great frog time in Sierpe
We did a frog and snakes tour with Sierpe Frogs, having Raby as a guide. His girlfriend Danni went along also assisting him, and we had the most amazing experience with them. Raby was beyond great, has great knowledge and was always pointing out several things besides frogs and snakes, a true guide. He was very patient with us, considering that we were interested by everything, so off course time ran fast and we finished beyond the time, which was also not a problem for him. We highly recommend Sierpe Frogs and Raby if you are interested in these tours and around Sierpe. Thank you again Raby and Danni for such a wonderful tour and time.
