History brought to Life
One of the great visitor attractions in County Wexford.... Fanned by flames of Revolution in America and France, the events of 1798 in Ireland are etched forever on the annals of Irish history. Vividly re-told in an exciting interpretation of events the "Rebellion Experience" at The National 1798 Rebellion Centre is not to be missed. On your visit you will learn in gruesome detail how some 20,000 insurgents faced the might of 10,000 well-trained and well-armed Crown Forces, and learn the significance of the nearby Vinegar Hill Battlefield.

History brought to Life
Excellent exhibition - with guide (Emmet) and recordings. Very well organised exhibition - give yourself enough time to read various historical notes. Obviously an amount of money spent on this place - shame it isnt better advertised / attended. Great value for money

Fascinating, information-packed tour
Surprisingly good. You need to take your time and listen to the various recordings and really be up for absorbing a lot of information, but it was fascinating. A piece of Irish history that I knew almost nothing about. They did a good job putting it into the broader context of Europe and the U.S. as well as making it come alive. Staff also extremely friendly and helpful.
