    Superb
Four of us had a weekend visit to Dublin, I was told about this museum by gentleman sitting next to me on the flight. We went there, found out you have to book a tour but were fortunate to get on one after a short wait. Our guide was Trevor who founded the museum. Wow! What a guy! He told us about Irish history, particularly Dublin history in a most interesting and entertaining way, including some jokes. We were all spellbound watching and listening as he walked around the rooms explaining the items on display. If you are going to Dublin make sure you take time for a visit. Tips: Advisable to book in advance. If you buy a ticket on the green DoDublin tour buses it includes entry to the museum

    Neat artifacts; Lisa was great!
The museum was a neat collection of things, but a bit steep on price for what it is, which is one reason I give it 4/5 stars. To be fair, we also arrived at the last slot of the day (5pm) which has a higher charge. The other reason was the depth of the tour - a lot of interesting historical moments for Dublin, but not enough info to come away feeling like I learned a ton. That said, our guide Lisa was EXCELLENT. We had a small group, and she sang us a beautiful song at the end. To sing to a small group is really putting yourself out there, so bonus points for both bravery and capability. Her presentation was very solid and had a few key takeaways which were good if you’re unfamiliar with the city and it’s history. I did really like the museum for its collection of daily life over the decades. It’s neat to see those vignettes. Overall, worth a try!
