This is the most special place , no matter what time of year or what type of weather, there is always a sense of peace on the island. This is a place of pilgrimage for over 2000yrs Before Christianity it was a place of gathering by Druids. Take some time to walk and sit and look outside and within yourself.

Stunning view
Have visited Our lady’s Island on numerous occasions but when the sun is out what a beautiful place to be. A walk by the lake on the pilgrimage path is a must. Serene peaceful and stunning views. Can get a little mucky if rained the previous day. The community centre is a great stop after your walk. New cafe opened and lively homemade food there and very reasonably priced. Great patio area to sit and enjoy the view. Safe playground next to cafe.

Serene location
This is a special place. A lagoon lake with a strong tradition of sacred worship predating the arrival of Christianity to Ireland. You can take a lovely walk around the island and there is some wonderful bird watching to be enjoyed.
