Irish whiskey is fast becoming one of the most popular spirits across the World. The Irish Whiskey Museum, based in the heart of Dublin City in a historic building on Grafton Street, tells the complete and unbiased history of Irish whiskey and its importance in Ireland’s turbulent past. The Irish Whiskey Museum is independent of all whiskey distilleries, offering its visitors the opportunity to taste and experience a huge selection of Irish Whiskey. Whether it’s Single Grain, Malt, Pot Still or a Blended Whiskey, the Museum’s whiskey experts will always be able to help you find the perfect whiskey to suit your palate. Tours take place from 10am-6pm every day, while visitors can experience a variety of live traditional music, storytelling and events every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening until 10.30pm.

Perfekt Mix of informative and entertaining
The Museum is desiged beautifully with much love and details also using new media. But way more important was that our tour guide, Donald, told the story of irish whisky in such an authentic, energetic and fun way that our stay in the Museum was really entertaining. Could have listend to his stories for another hour. After the tour we stayed for another drink at the bar of the museum what i can also recommand as the guys working there are so fiendly and welcoming and know much about the different whiskeys. Best invested 20 Euros in Dublin so far.

If you haven’t been, I highly recommend it.
As first time visitors to Dublin, my friend and I flew by the seats of our pants when it came to planning our trip. We stumbled across this museum and, given the time it takes (only about an hour) and our thirst for some Irish whiskey, we excitedly went in. What we experienced was an absolute delight. We opted for the premium tour, which was only a few Euro more than the traditional tour and included an extra taste of whiskey and a souvenir glass. That decision was well worth it, but wouldn’t make or break the experience as a whole. The staff members at the museum were all lovely, but one stuck out in particular. Our tour guide, Donal, was whimsical, funny, knowledgeable, and charismatic. There was not a question he couldn’t answer, and he clearly takes a lot of pride in his work. We even bumped into him later that evening and he recognized us and said hello, which meant a lot. Overall, this museum and tour experience is well priced and absolutely worth every minute. If you are in Dublin and you haven’t been yet, I highly recommend it.
