Closed for reno but impressive!
This building is impressive and imposing. It is the former city jail and has a long military history. Apparently it is currently under renovation but we appreciated walking around it. The museo is centrally located and just off the central park. Worth seeing and hopefully it will reopen soon.

Surprise Inside
This is the old jail and has been going through renovation for several years. The renovations that are complete are beautifully done. I actually like the contrast between what has been refurbished to the old. I can definitely say that I would have liked being a prisoner. I can easily see the center court yard being used for special events once the renovations are complete.

Do the people that own this know its supposed to be a museum?
Nope. Nope. Nope. We showed up today. No exhibits at all. The guard let us come in but was too busy with his cell phone to greet and welcome us, much less tell us that the museum has exactly zero exhibits right now.
