Doka Estate Coffee Tour, Province of Alajuela, Costa Rica

Great informative tour
Visited here this past week and it was a very informative and enjoyable tour. All aspects of growing, harvesting and processing of coffee were explained. The guide was very knowledgeable and when he wasn’t completely sure of something was frank in his answers. A wagon with the day’s harvest came in after the tour was finished but the guide called us over to see the process at that point, which would have missed. This is the oldest of the wet mills in existence.

Informative!
We had a great experience at Doka. Our tour was very informative and our guide, Adriana, was well informed and answered our many questions. It gave us a new perspective on how labour intensive the traditional process is. Very nice welcome drink with unlimited tastings (with chocolate) at the end - the butterfly garden was a nice treat. Yes, it costs $22 US per person, but we felt we got our money's worth (unlike the OTHER well know plantation not far away-SB).
