Breathtaking
Truly gorgeous surroundings and the most turquoise water you will ever see. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. Took approx 2.5 hours to get here from Nice. Scenic drive with some beautiful countryside. I’d recommend getting here early on to be able to hire a boat to travel down the gorges with no queues - I visited in August 2019 and noticed it gets very busy therefore meaning boat availability becomes more limited as the day progresses.

Beautiful nature
Very big area. If you go from the lake to the top of the mountain it will take approximately 45 minutes by car on mountain roads. It is a must to sail in the canyon. Unfortunately the water level this year was 5-6 meters lower than normal due to missing snow in the Winther.
