The ground-floor of the Frankopan castle houses NATIONAL LIBRARY AND READING ROOM (Narodni muzej). The reading room played an important part in cultural life of the place. The second floor houses NATIONAL MUSEUM and gallery. Visitors can see interesting and original exhibits witnessing the history and culture of this region. Particulary worth seeing is the ethnographic collection with genuine folk costumes and instruments, then archeological finds and the collection of works of art and arms.
