Photogenic location
Le Caudan Waterfront is definitely the place to be if you're in Port-Louis. Gorgeous infrastructure with a variety of different shops. Very photogenic in my opinion and the view? Absolutely breathtaking. With its panoply of cultural divertissement like a museum and an art gallery, you are bound to find something to entertain yourself. Not to mention the various concerts and shows organised on the Esplanade! There are a whole bunch of restaurants and fast-food places to pick from for any budget of yours. You will find shops selling desserts and drinks only which is very convenient if you don't particularly feel hungry. Nevertheless, for those used to go there, Caudan Waterfront does become boring at some point as compared to the more common shopping malls. Some shops are not very affordable for the majority of people and the place closes early during public holidays (again as compared to nearby shopping malls). Certain parts of Caudan Waterfront are still under construction; making it appear like an unfinished project. Still, definitely worth a stop but I wouldn't recommend going there often because as stated before, the place does get boring (specially for youngsters).

Nice, close to market and world heritage site
A small waterfront with some outdoor markets and restaurants. Nice for an afternoon visit with kids as well . Waking distance to the vegetable and local market where you can get souvenirs and clothes at a reasonable rate. Also close to the heritage site and free museum where you can see the history of the Mauritians.
