Marland's Grand Home, Oklahoma, United States

See this AFTER visiting the Marland mansion

I’m glad we visited the Marland Grand Home the day AFTER touring the Mansion. This was the Marlands real home where they lived the longest and it feels welcoming. It’s a warm, beautiful and inviting house unlike the somewhat austere and showy mansion. The self guided tour here is very well done with excellent signage and many original artifacts. We spent a little over an hour touring the house and walking around the yard. This gracious home is well worth the time if you enjoy fascinating history and exquisite period homes. Highly recommend.

    Great self-guided tour.
The docent who sells the tickets is so knowledgeable about the history, so it is wise to hear her out. Very nice person. The Estate manager happened to run in to us and showed us the tunnel and gave a little extra history

    Very interesting displays.
The picture that Trip Advisor has for this home is actually the Marland Mansion. This home on Grande Avenue is actually the home that he had while having the Marland Mansion built. The original gardens at this home must have been stunning. They covered about five blocks and a crew of around 27 to 30 men were employed to maintain them. This home displays beautiful furniture as well as unique Indian artifacts and other historical items from the area.
