Super fun and interesting

I love an interactive museum and this one fills the bill with excellent exhibits, lots of fun historic artifacts and great photo opportunities next to cool gas pumps. We spent a little over an hour here and learned a lot about the interesting history of Conoco and its many great employees over the years. It’s an amazing business we knew little about before visiting. Be sure to catch the introductory video before walking through the museum. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this museum when in the area.

Interesting history of Conoco Oil and Gas
Formed back in the early 20th century by a merger of Marland oil company and Continental oil, Conoco is one of the biggest names in oil and gas today. They have a sizable manufacturing and R&D installation in Ponca City and right across the street there's a museum dedicated to the history of Conoco. If you are a chemist, like my wife and I, or just interested in science in general, this museum is worth a stop. It should be noted that entry is free of charge and there are enough interesting exhibits to hopefully keep your child's attention for the 45 minutes to an hour that it will take to wander through the museum. The exhibits are set up chronologically and take you through the starting days of Conoco right after the merger, right through to the current operations. It is a good story full of good guys and bad guys and allows you to understand what it takes to provide a gallon of gasoline at your local gas station. Recommended
