    I love seeing old cemeteries!
It was a pleasant experience seeing how this is so old yet so well taken care of. You see enough to know of some of the ones buried there but the tombstones are so worn from the years of being there almost impossible to read. There was restoration going on by two young men some of the tombstones like putting them back in the ground if they fell out of place. So nice a spot to look out not the town.

    A must for cemetery fans!
This is a very interesting cemetery, partly because of the history, obviously, but it is different. It is a real hill with graves sloping down from the top to bottom. The gravestones are so unusual and very old. Reading the epitaphs is interesting, too. I love cemeteries and this is one that was on my bucket list. So glad we went! We saw it at night with the Ghost Tour which really gave good history on it and explained it well and the Pilgrim's Progress walk, plus during the day where we just meandered along. It is very shaded, too. For a less taxing walk up the hill, go in the back way off Russell Street. There is a two-hour free parking lot there and the walk up is much easier.
