first time planetarium experience for kindgarten
Today we brought two kindergarten classes to their first planetarium experience. We could not have been more thrilled. The program was an hour long and geared perfectly for very curious young minds. The children were captivated. Mr. Davies who has taught high school for many years has carefully adapted this first time experience for the very young learner. The children were allowed to participate and they really learned quite a bit. We returned to our classroom and the students begged to learn more. they wrote in their science journals and everyone of the students had clearly been listening. it was a great experience for children and adults alike.

Rented the space for an incredible proposal
The Blake Planetarium is housed inside a school, but as soon as you walk in, you realize you’re in a state of the art facility. I made a request that I thought was crazy! I asked to rent the space to bring my girlfriend and propose. I wanted to combine her love of stars, space, and planetariums, with my singing a song to propose. I thought it was unlikely that this was possible. However, all of the staff at the Blake Planetarium was enthusiastic and so supportive! They worked with me ahead of time to organize every detail...even creating a fake listing on their website and fake Eventbrite tickets so it could be a real surprise. The proposal was flawless and so much more than I could have expected! The planetarium show was perfect. I can’t recommend them enough!
