Interesting home museum
This museum is located in a restored late-19th-century Näsi Castle in the middle of the lush Näsi Park. Milavida presents the glamorous and international lifestyle of the Nottbeck family, the owners of the famous Finlayson cotton mill. The temporary exhibition 'Carry me – 100 years of handbags' showcases the centenary story of the handbag.

Past glory
The handbag exhibition drew me to the Milavida mansion perching on the highest point of Näsi park. Historical and vintage bags in all materials from silver mesh to shining plastic were well displayed with thorough explanations. The home of the Nottbeck family prominent in local industry was on show in all noble elegance. The storyline playing on video was more grim telling the history of the workers rebellion hundred years ago.
