Great advice, gear and hospitality!
3 of us hired out snowshoeing gear for a 5 day expedition in Oulanka National Park. We drove up from Helsinki and we were greeted by the amazingly helpful Heidi. She really made sure our gear was good for us and even said we could phone her up up if we had any problems during the trip! We also hired a top quality sledge for pulling all our gear: way better than carrying a massively heavy backpack! When we returned after 5 days in the wilderness, Heidi and her family greeted us and insisted we had breakfast... for free! It was one of the best breakfast I ever had! A school was there and were doing some speeches for concluding their trip to Adventure Apes. Heidi have us a shout out to which we received a standing ovation! haha amazing. Thanks you so much guys. Finland with a friend - truly customized tour
We had only a week to spend in Finland and wanted to make the most of it with an emphasis on nature and the countryside, physically active days, and also to learn about the Finnish lifestyle. After looking around at self drive possibilities we were rather overwhelmed. So we contacted Heidi and she collaborated with us to work out a tour that suited. She is a generous and honest host and guide. We stayed at her lovely home for some of the time, and in selected homes for the rest. We had the experience of a Finnish summer cabin, sauna nearly every day, canoeing in the strings of lakes, hiking in the swamp and forest, even paddle boarding on a lake and cycling in the archipelago. Heidi often stopped to show us hidden gems or surprise side walks. We experienced Finnish food, and learnt so much about Finnish life, customs, history, wildlife, vegetation, language...Heidi was an inexhaustible supply of knowledge. She is also very flexible and can adjust to weather conditions and your needs during the trip. If you tell Heidi exactly the kind of experience you want in Finland she will do everything she can to make it happen for you. Thanks Heidi and adventure Apes!

Awesome experience in the finnish nature!
We did a two-days adventure excursion into the finnish nature. Heidi was an awesome guide, super friendly and with an energy that transpired throughout the entire experience :) I highly recommend! For both natives and visitors to have a "smell" of the true meaning of the finnish communion with nature.
