I just stopped for pictures...

I pulled up to the stop sign in my little car and was just going to walk out to the beach and get some Lake Huron photos. I pulled up to the stop sign and had my 3 dollars out and the guy in the chair who appeared to be working and just stared at me. After a minute or so of just sitting there, someone walked up to him and asked about ice or something and he helped them, as I just sat in my car. I just drove in and parked. I kept my $3 since they didn't seem to want it. The beach area was cool. There was tall grasses in the water that were great for the foreground of my pictures and a few kayakers out that added a little action to some of the pictures. Nice beach. Odd people running it. Strange vibe.

Beautiful Park-Beware of “Campground Karen” ?
We stayed at this park in April and May over two weekends. It’s a beautiful park with great views. The first stay was great even though it was early in the season. There are quite a few seasonal, long-term renters. One of these renters (“Karen”) decided we were breaking the 5 mph speed limit, stormed onto our campsite and banged on the door like a crazy person. After she sought fit to exercise her “authority” over the campground, I told her to get the hell off my campsite. She stormed off to threatening to tell “Dan” next. The same night one of the long-term renters next to us decided to leave their large dog alone for three hours. He barked about every two minutes. My husband politely spoke to the woman about it and she apologized. It didn’t stop them from leaving him again the next morning for two hours to bark his head off again. We’ll take our long weekend camping tourist dollars somewhere else.
