    A vibrant fun market
This is a cracking market well worth a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon. The Main Street is pedestrianised and full of food and craft stalls many offering fare different than that available in some of the other local markets. It is rather a tribute to the inventiveness of the local population. There was also street music with a variety of entertainers and chairs provided. There were collection boxes for the performers for voluntary donations. It was amusing when there was a power cut in the middle of some of the performances. The street got fairly busy but was at a comfortable enough level.

    Good place for foodie people
This is also known as weekend market. Located in old town phuket. The footfall starts to increase by 5pm and the market is open till 10pm. You will find a lot of food stalls here. Each offering a unique taste. Small bites from each stall will easily make you full enough. There are also some artists there who will paint your picture then and there. You can also find shops offering dresses, shoes, sandals, ornaments, etc. I personally will not recommend this place if only shopping is on your mind. It's more for eating and roaming around. May be you find something good enough to buy as well. There are also back to back live performances which you can enjoy.
