Well Worth The Visit
If you are a fan of Jimmy Stewart or some of the best movies ever made, this is a great place to visit. This museum does a great job of showing the history of Stewart's family, and the local surroundings. Great detail is paid to both his extensive movie career, as well as his service to this county in the Army Air Corps, and then the Air Force. While we were already Jimmy Stewart fans when we arrived, this museum only enhanced our love and admiration of him. The museum staff was great as well offering more insight into Jimmy's life. We arrived on a Saturday when it opened, and rode the elevator with one of the staff members. She got off the elevator and gave us a personal impromptu overview of the museum. Great job keeping his memory alive.

Jimmy Stewart Museum
The workers at the museum were very friendly and informative. If you are a movie buff and a Jimmy Stewart fan, then this is a must stop. The museum is not very big but it is packed full of things belonging to Jimmy Stewart, movie posters, props from his movies and awards he has earned. The cost is $9 but they do have a senior and military discount so we paid $8 each. At one o'clock every day they play one of Jimmy Stewart's movies. We did actually stay and watch the movie playing this day. This was my second visit here. While here we did walk over to the court house and look at the Jimmy Stewart Statue which stands in front. We also drove up the street to see his boyhood home (which is a private residence). We then drove over to the Jimmy Stewart Indiana Airport to check out one of his private planes on display outside.
