Hershey's Chocolate World, Pennsylvania, United States

4.0 (423 reviews) Spent Ranking #7 in Hershey Speciality Museums

Three generation family vacation

We visited this attraction with our son, daughter and 13 year old grandson. We purchased the bundled pack which included The Movie, Unwrapped, the Trolly tour, Make your own candy and lunch. All were well done and extremely entertaining! We most enjoyed the trolly tour (takes you out around Hershey with lots of historical information) and make your own candy which we enjoyed the most. All staff was informed and knowledgeable. You have assigned times for each activity which keeps the numbers down and you aren’t standing around waiting for entrance. There isa huge store with all types of candy and other Hershey related items. The only complaint was with checkout where the line often snakes around the building. I’m sure this is due to limited staffing. Overall it was a great time and we spent over five hours there.

    Chocolate Filled Fun
This was our second trip here. The basic "Factory Tour" is free, which makes this a low cost destination. All paid tickets are timed which means you won't wait in line for anything very long, and since there is no "Fast Pass" you will move through the Factory Tour line at a decent rate. The Factory Tour took us about 1 hour and 15 minutes to wait in line (which has Hershey facts along the walls to entertain you) and to ride the ride itself. The line was pretty full, though. We did the Unwrapped--which is cheesy but fun and allows you to sample different Hershey's offerings, we also created our own chocolate bar. My favorite timed event was the Trolley ride. Because it was October the ride was shorter and all riders get several treats during the "Trick or Treat Trolley" trip. It was very informative, though, and told about the history of Hershey and Milton Hershey, which was interesting. I felt the attraction bundle prices were reasonable for what they offered. There was also a Trunk or Treat event outside, which was unexpected and nice (and free).
