What a moving place to visit
I can't say enough how moving this cemetery is...you walk around at your own pace looking at all the monuments, the cannons, and most importantly the graves (headstones). It is amazing how many head stones say "unknown" on them. They have restrooms and benches scattered throughout to rest. Very touching, very moving experience.

    A must do!
We visited on our own. Such beauty and peacefulness in an area ravaged by war so many years ago. Many monuments and memorials to see. So much to see and so much history. A guided tour by a ranger or guide would probably would have given us a lot more insight, however, we were able to spend as much or as little time as we wanted to do. We also did not go to the Visitor's Center, which we would want to do if we visit again.
