    My kids highly recommend
We went on a Wednesday in July, and it wasn’t very crowded. We ended up getting tickets on sale. We took our 10, 6, and 1 yo. I am also pregnant. We were pleasantly surprised at not only all the things my 1yo and I could do, but also my 10yo did not find it too babyish. I saw many kids my son’s age who were having a good time as well. Your parking pass is good all day and we got our hand stamped, so we were able to go at open, stay til lunch, head back to our Airbnb, and come back after nap time. I’d recommend doing that if you can, it was hot, so the park had cleared out quite a bit after 3 and we ended up staying until close. I only give 4 stars for a few reasons. The longest line we stood in all day was getting through security and into the park. We arrived around open, but did not get up to the gate until 10 after open. We didn’t make it through security and into the park until 20 minutes later. They eventually opened a second terminal for scanning tickets, but not soon enough. The lack of efficiency also showed when loading rides. I can literally count 4 employees who were lovely, but the rest were all rude or seemed as if they have better places to be. I don’t expect Disney quality, but goodness. When you’re paying $200 to ride kiddie rides, you expect some professionalism. Finally, we were only in the area for a few days. And we spent a whole day here. If you’ll be in town for longer or will be nearby, I’d recommend, but not if you only have a few days. My 6yo saw a video of it when we planned our trip and talked about it for months, so we decided it’d be worth it. All in all, the kids really enjoyed it. They got to ride some of the rides multiple times and we did just about everything. They highly recommend. As a parent, it was fun, but I wouldn’t necessarily do it again, unless you live closer.

    Great for a one-time visit
This is an old theme park geared towards kids. We traveled with a 5yo and twin 2.5yo so it was expensive. For the price, it was great for a one-time visit, but as a mother who only rode like 2 rides but had to pay admission because of the kids....meh. There are no fans while waiting in lines, just keep that in mind if you go in the heat of the Summer. Also, most buttons on the rides don't work (unsure what they use to do, but now just for looks- an operator told me they use to work so I know they are old). We live near Dollywood and have season passes there so this was a comparison visit. (Dolly does it right...fans and AC everywhere.) It was crowded in the middle of the day, but we only had to wait a long time on one ride - the boat ride on Exploration Island. I'm unsure how many boats were running but there was an extra one just sitting there, with people lined up to the end of the allotted line space. Several rides could have run more efficiently overall, as it is geared towards children with less patience than adults. Again, please see Dollywood as a reference! They did have some pretty unique rides that the kids were able to ride several times. We felt like we hit everything they wanted to do at least once and my husband even got to ride the big coasters. The park was only open for 8h but we did it in about 7 and felt unrushed. "Have a Dutch Wonderful day!"
