Best Ski Resort in the East? Bear Creek Mountain Resort!
We love Bear Creek! It's not the tallest mountain in the world. What it does have? Amazing staff, clean setting, generous snow making, helpful ski rentals, fun tubing, gorgeous hotel, great layout, safe environment and yummy food. We choose Bear Creek over any other place because of these reasons. They accommodate good family fun and take incredible care of their guests. If you've never stayed over before, highly recommend it. The rooms are beautifully designed, clean and it's such a luxury to pop off your skis, enjoy the hot tub and order in room service. We needed a break from Covid lockdown. It was the best weekend we've ever had!

    Review of snow tubing only
Overall, we were satisfied. We came to snow tube and we did have fun. We have snow tubed at other ski resorts and I am merely reviewing the staff friendliness, willingness to help. Our tickets were prepurchased and checking in was easy. The lodge was clean with changing facilities. All runs for snow tubing were open. Some lanes were faster than others and some for whatever reason you went in circles more. There were plenty of tubes for use. Wasn’t overly crowded. Never waited more than three turns to go down. I just felt the staff at the snow tubing area were not friendly or helpful. When younger kids are going down beside a parent and it is apparent that the child needs help with their tube, pushed a little, etc., you shouldn’t have to feel like you are begging them to help you and/or your child. A staff member or occasionally two merely stood at the top and waiting for the run to clear and then would say, “Ok, you guys can go”. The staff was quite engaged with THEIR conversations amongst themselves right down to a staff member who questioned why another staff member was wearing a pair of Vans (shoes) and not more appropriate footwear, which while waiting we learned he was running late that morning and that’s what he had in his car. All I’m saying is, be attentive to your customers and watch your conversations. We’ve been snow tubing at other locations, and they have multiple staff at the top to assist with getting children in a tube and down the slope.
