Street Art in George Town, Penang, Malaysia

Amazing!

We decided to go and explore the street art ourselves one afternoon. From Batu Ferringhi (beaches) you can get a taxi (approx 50RM) or enjoy the local bus (2.50RM per person). The bus takes approx 1 hour. We hit Armenian Street where most of the action was happening. But we then wandered in and around the streets to discover more artwork. There are lots of shops and food stalls to look at as well.

    A day at Street Art
Nice walking around the street. Please find a map of Georgetown/Street Art so you can find the art at different wall. The street will be close for vehicle crossing on Saturday at 3PM to give the tourist free walking around the street. There are many bicycle rental services nearby. Either the traditional or electric bicycle. You may rent from RM6-RM20 per bicycle. You may also find the 'ais kepal' nearby the 2 kids on the bicycle art. It is really awesome when you having it on the hot sunny day. Phewww..its amazing.!!

Great art... shame about the cruise ship ?
We were really looking forward to seeing this area and while it was extremely busy on the afternoon we went it was still fun and worth it. It happened to be the Deepavali and Maulidur Rasul weekend and a cruise ship had also arrived so no surprise regarding the crowds. The atmosphere was fantastic but some of the art is a bit weathered... I know, I know....it's street art, but part of me wants it to last forever.
