A must place to visit for bird-watcher and flora enthusiast
Lake Habema is about 3,200 above sea level. It is a very interesting place to see if you are a bird watcher or if you love flora. You need a permit to visit this place since it is part of the national park. It is easy to get the permit, but you really need a local guide to visit this place. He will take you to get the permit, organise transportation (which isn't cheap but worth every penny) and other things. We saw some stunning birds such as Macgregor's honey-eater! The Rhododendrons are stunning. To be able to see Myrmecodia lamii (the ant's plant) was special indeed.

great view
beautiful but too far, you can find other people in the hotel to have a car to reach the Lake Habema. you can do this tour after viist festival in Wamena. more enjoyable if you stay overnight to use a tents, I can say this area is suitable for young people like you.
