    Spectacular Drive
The drive up the Baliem Valley to the cave is spectacular. Gourd men, thatched roofs, women with their nokens, sheer cliffs, trees that look like they belong in Africa all made for a great drive. The limestone cave is in a little park whose entrance is small and somewhat hidden. Although not crowded, there was a fellow from Germany, we 7 Americans, and a group of five men from Sentani all explored the cave together. Bring a headlamp as the lighting in the cave is limited. There were no guides or literature, so you are on your own. The only employee was a guy charging us at the gate. Tourists were charged 50K rupiah each, but when we told the guy we were from Sentani, he charged us 100K for the carload.

    Fairly average cave
The cave itself has little special to offer. It isn't very deep, but still a slipperly climb up and down. Inside the cave you get a view of the jungle exit on the other end. Don't expect any impressive stalagmites or other geological features though.
