Beautiful beach
Mon Choisy beach is beautiful, it goes on for miles! There is plenty of shade under the trees. There are various food vans under the trees selling food & drinks. Plenty of water sports if so inclined. Parasailing, water skiing, those big banana inflatables… All reasonably priced. The sea is clear & the sand is white. Bit like being on a tropical island really - oh wait…!! Well worth a visit

The most magical sunsets
Mont Choisy Beach is my favourite beach in the world. The water is a clear turquoise and it can be so glassy in the early morning. There is a path in from the beach a bit where you can jog, and the trees provide lovely shade from the hot Mauritius sun. It can be a bit crowded on weekends, but it's such a long beach that you can always find a spot to make your own, and it's really nice to see all the families relaxing with their picnics and music. If you get here early in the morning (before 7am), you might catch the horses going for a swim - such a magical experience. And you absolutely must come here to watch the sunset. I've seen so many of the most breathtakingly beautiful sunsets from this beach.

Pretty
Sheltered by trees this really is a quiet pretty beach - although wakeboarders in the distance do add some entertainment. The water is shallow and warm with some well designated swimming areas. Good for a stroll along the sand too. The only sign of commercialisation when we went (late afternoon) was the icecream van making its rounds. I thought 150 rupees for a soft serve icecream was too much. Worth a visit.
