Behind a monumental facade in the center of Deventer
Behind a beautiful Renaissance style facade (original design from 1588) is the Deventer Tourist info. The location is called Penninckhoek, Penninck being the name of the merchant who ordered the construction of the building. Later a baptist church was established here. The staff of the tourist office is friendly and helpful. They do have information on the surroundings of the city as well (excellent for cycling). During my visit (afterseason) the place was still very busy. Go there early. Open at 10 AM.

Informative
This information center will help to make your stay in Deventer more informative and enjoyable. We were able to obtain all the information we needed to do a self-walking tour since we missed the time frame for the regularly scheduled tour. Beautiful city!
