Excellent museum, most import works of Artemisia Gentileschi
Excellent museum! Took a trip to Enschede only to visit Rijksmuseum Twenthe and was not disappointed. My favorite works on display were by baroque painter Artemisia Gentileschi, the most important representatives of Italian painting, a symbol of the struggle against patriarchy. Entry fee: 15 EUR or free if you hold a Museumkaart. The museum has a nice garden with a terrace where you can enjoy a walk along other art works on display or a coffee.

Great museum with lots of variety and several objects of art of world class.
Take your time to pick your choice and be amazed by the divers collection and wonderfull art. Ranging from medieval - to contemperary art.

Good mix of art
Good mix of art from the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. Interesting and well thought out juxtapositions. The selection appears haphazard on occasion with a Tracey Emin stuck in a forgotten corner, which would have been a good fit for a differently themed room. It's easy to spend two hours here even with the cafe closed.
