Cafe down the castle

Visited the cafe with our 1,5 year old daughter. Nice garden to run around in. Good schrimp Sandwich! It was a nice atmosphere and calm area.

Nice visit and tour of the castle. Thieves in the parking lot.
We were travelling north on E4 and came to Läfstad just in time for a tour. We had a nice tour through the castle, and a little visit to the gift shop. Unfortunately, when we returned to our car, the back window had been smashed and two of our bags stolen. So. . . . not sure how to prevent this happening when travelling but be aware that they have had break-ins in the parking lot. A member of the grounds staff helped us with some plastic and tape for the car window.

This is a place worth a stop
This was our second time visiting this magnificent place. A beautiful castle on a hill looking out over the forrests and fields. The fact that they serve traditional swedish high end food does add to the experience. Eating really good food in an beautiful historical setting in the castle does not make the visit any worse :-) It is locate close to the motorway and I can promise a nice rest during your driving.
