Lake Guinas is a sinkhole lake created by a collapsing karst cave. The lake is located on private property, no issues to visit. It takes a couple of minutes to reach the lake by foot from the ‘parking’. Location +/- 30 km north of Tsumeb near road D3043

not a typical tourist attraction, out of the way but so worth visiting
This is under no circumstances a normal tourist attraction. that is what makes this so nice to visit. It's a sinkhole lake, same as lake Oshikoto but this one is used by the surrounding farmers to water there plantations. There is a limited way in and out the water but that is where it ends. The real magic is that the water is always a very pleasant temperature since the massive volume of water. You have to be a very competent swimmer to appreciate this. It's like swimming in a deep ocean. Once you are in the water there is no place to support you. no rock to rest or stand on. So to some up. well worth a visit if you like swimming in a very deep body of water.

One of 2 Natural Lakes in Namibia
Beautiful tranquility and peace is the words that come to mind describing the lake. Surface is about 60m below the gound level. Thru out the year, the lake is a whopping 26'C. Take note, the lake is on private property.
