Plan your visit carefully and enjoy!
Beautiful place. Pamir mountains are so colorful, purple rocks, marmots (or other spices similar to them). It is easy to go for treks from the lake to the view point which is in the front of Peak Lenin. Path is visible and easy. You don't need a guide. We had “maps.me” application, in which the path is shown and accurate. We start in the morning and about 5pm we had transfer back to the village. Ask in Peak Lenin Guesthouse for transfer to the lake. The price is a lot cheaper than in CBT. Plus I don’t recommend CBT (see me review). For accommodation in the village we recommend Sunny Side Guest house. We paid 2 time less than in CBT, we had our own room. Accommodation is basic, bed sheets not so fresh, but family is really helpful. They put fire for us, so it was warm and cosy. Shower is in another small building, but they put the fire also there, so it was really nice. It is near the main road between two gas station. It is visible from the main road. In application “maps.me” it is marked as Lenin Peak Guest house.

Beautiful view
Beautiful view with several trekking options (not all hardcore). If weather is not cloudy you can perfectly see Lenin peak from the lake and all other lakes surrounding. Don’t take the CBT yurt camp (there are 2 other better alternatives - more authentic, better service. You can also put up your own tent).
