Go early, less crowded. Worth the hike up!
We tried going on a Saturday afternoon and it was too crowded, no parking at either lot at all. The very next day, we got to the lot across the lodge at 9am and success, there were spaces left. The day we went had beautiful dry weather so the hike up was good. It is a paved trail but it could get slippery on a rainy day. It took us about 45-60 mins to go up slowly because we took lots of breaks. But it is definitely worth it! Early morning is a great time to see it because it is not crowded at all on the viewing platform at the top. It's a beautiful falls to see even if you just go to the bridge which is only .2 miles from the bottom. Definitely recommend!

Permit required
Sadly, if your out of state don’t know this place needed a permit in advance and it’s always booked. I guess is to avoid overwhelmed with people. They do have a shuttle goin on , if you don’t have any reservation. They have a trolley and a shuttle bus (Sasquatch) , we took the Sasquatch down before the falls , it costs $15 per head ..
