    Fun Mountain!
We skied here for 5 days during the pandemic and had a lovely time. Lots of fun groomers all over and not too steep. The blue runs were very mellow. The first three days were bluebird days. Groomers were very hard packed and off piste was icy due to heavy rainfall the previous week. Thursday was a little better with an inch of snow. Friday was the best! 8 inches of fresh pow! Off piste off of the Northwest and Outback lifts was amazing! My favorite was the West Bowl off of Northwest. Black runs were not super steep but loads of fun! Snow was very light and fluffy. Lift lines were non existent during our week at Mt. Bachelor. I only ate once at the West Village Lodge (normally snacked on Cliff bars on the lifts) and the beet salad with grilled chicken was delicious! There is a wait for a table (outdoor dining due to COVID restrictions) so I recommend adding your name to the list 30-45 minutes before you intend on eating. They sent us a text when our table was ready and while we waited we skied another run. The staff from the lodges to the lifties were incredibly welcoming and making sure everyone masked up. The only negative I can think of is that there is no lodging available at the resort so no ‘ski in ski out’ experience. This wasn’t a deal breaker for us since we stayed in Bend and had our own car. Staying in Bend was great since we were close to many restaurants and bars. Overall a great mountain for families and it’s on the IKON pass.

    Good old moody Bachelor
We used to spend every Christmas here 10-12 years ago. After coming back this year, we have been met by the familiar tough Bachelor weather, cold and windy - but also with lots of fresh snow. Staff is still friendly and does their best to keep lifts open even in very windy conditions. The new Cloudchaser lift can be kept open when even Pine Marten and Outback are on wind hold, and offers very decent terrain. New EV charging spots are great. The only thing which needs improvement is the technology. We were left stranded at the base of a closed chair lift because we trusted the on-screen lift status which showed it being open. And IKON pass website fails with an assortment of error messages when trying to get a buddy ticket.
