Great afternoon visit!

After having a wonderful lunch at George’s Greek Village, my cousin and I visited this museum. No entry fee but donations accepted. There were different rooms with their unique exhibits. They were exquisite and very informative and quite elaborate, The Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame and museum part of it is a must see. The outdoor catwalk with the view on the canal is an added bonus. Had to get magnet and hat as a souvenir from the shop. My cousin refrained from touching artifacts this time

Great place to get a sense to St.Catharines history and see the ships
The SC museum is located at lock 3 of the Welland Canal. It is also the site of the Lacrosse Hall of Fame as well as showcasing the history of St.Catharines.Admission is free but a donation is appreciated. It is a nicely laid out museum and will take about an hour to view, then you can go outside to the viewing area and hopefully see a ship go through the lock. The staff are very accommodating and will go out of their way to assist you. It is well worth the “side trip” as you travel to NOTL or Niagara Fall. Take the Niagara St. Exit off of the QEW.

    Next to the Welland Canal
Somewhat interesting museum centered around the construction of the Welland Canal from lake Ontario to Lake Eire. A lot of items concerning lacrosse and Native Americans. Adjacent to Lock #3, where 10 or so huge ships pass through every 24 hours. Marvelous sight if you can catch one
