Enjoyable week on LOTW
My wife, daughter and boyfriend, and I spent a very enjoyable week on Lake of the Woods in an OWHR houseboat. Communication and planning was made easy by Crissy's quick and helpful email responses and we enjoyed a complimentary upgrade to a larger houseboat as one was available for our dates. Terry did a great job, before leaving the dock, of making us comfortable with the operation and navigation of the houseboat and it met all our needs and operated flawlessly. It was just "icing on the cake" that we enjoyed wonderful weather, had a beautiful display of the northern lights and caught enough fish, including two first-time muskie catches.

Absolutely Excellent
We've rented from Ontario Wilderness Houseboats (OWH) four years now, and we love it. We tried a few other houseboat rentals in northern Minnesota previously... none comes close to the service we get from OWH. Terry, who runs OWH, makes sure that every customer is personally taken care of. If you need help with something, he & his team bend over backwards to take care of it right of way. First couple of years, I needed help getting the houseboat off the beach after storms had pushed it up... they came out right away, and got us un-stuck, AND showed me how to do it -- last couple years, using what they taught me, we haven't had any trouble getting off the beaches. When a vacation trip goes without a hitch, we tend to thank the hosts... but the real test if a vacation resort or houseboat rental company is any good is when something goes wrong... which can happen any time, and not be anybodies fault... but it's how the resort responds to that problem... Terry's OWH crew are right there to fix whatever it is. Terry provides excellent personalized service -- which makes the houseboat trip the most fun you can have on Lake of the Woods. Highly recommend!!!
