Would not recommend this cruise

We took the 3 hour tour this past week and enjoyed the pretty views. It was a relaxing way to see Georgian Bay from a different perspective. I'm giving it 3 stars because the captain smoked multiple times during the cruise! This is supposed to be a non smoking cruise and the smell was nauseating and disgusting! My husband mentioned it to a crew member, and she said the captain smokes on board whenever he wants to, and if passengers light up he doesn't stop them. Very uncool and unprofessional! Before we even boarded, we had to walk thru a cloud of smoke as the captain was sitting and smoking by the line to board the boat. We spent over $100 and were pretty disgusted by the smoking thru out the duration of the cruise. For this reason, I would not recommend Georgian Spirit Cruises.

    Cowboys
After driving up to Midland I was disappointed to find out the original boat cruise was sold and that another cruise had taken over. The boat was smaller and the crew were unprofessional. I was shocked that the price had gone up to over $100 for 2 people. Although the captain talked about the area when the microphone was working we didn't need to hear about his personal stories. The crew stood outside the front of the boat smoking in front of the people waiting to get on the boat, then the captain was smoking when everyone was on the boat before we set off. I just kept saying to my husband, what a bunch of cowboys. If you want to service the public and have a good reputation you need to be professional at all times, especially with the prices we all pay.

Don’t throw out your hard earned dollars!
I had called prior to booking and spoke to a friendly gentleman who told me this company had bought the previous cruise company, leading me to believe it was of better quality.. I eagerly paid the $106 for 2 seniors to celebrate a friend’s birthday. What a disappointment it turn out to be! First, the guided tour was unprofessional. The guide , Captain Bill, mostly spoke about his family history and experiences, including a distasteful story about their septic tank. He showed no pride in the area, but spoke about the increasing costs and difficulty of buying a cottage. The little historical information was provided during the last hour of the tour. As we passed Honey Harbour I looked up relevant information that should have been provided. There was insufficient snacks /food and nothing unless you are a meat eater. Although there was cheese pizza, we were told they could only warm one at a time and the wait was over 30 minutes. The women’s bathroom was filthy , not maintained until I complained, and had no supplies or sink. At the end of the tour , we were told, “If you liked the tour, tell everyone. If you didn’t, don’t tell anyone!” We were stunned with the unprofessional attitude. The one positive thing was the staff who were involved with food and bartending were most professional and delightful!
