Excellent Museum
My wife and I with our 11 year old son visited the CWHM in July 2022, whilst on holiday from the UK. We spent 5 hours at the museum mainly due to how all volunteers made us feel so welcome and interested. There is plenty to see inside and outside and there is a great viewing area with views over the whole airport. We especially liked the fact that our son could sit inside many of the aircraft and use the SIM. We ate in the cafe which was excellent. We cannot thank the staff and volunteers enough for a really brilliant visit. Thoroughly recommended.

NOT TO BE MISSED!
This is a definite must for all visitors and residents of Hamilton to see. An excellent collection of vintage warplanes all lovingly restored by volunteer mechanics, including one of only two Lancaster heavy bombers still flying in the world today. Learn about the planes from the volunteer tour guides and watch planes from the collection take off and land outside the gourmet cafe You can even hitch a ride in one for a fee but be aware that rides on the Lancaster sell out a year in advance. A wonderful gift for someone special.

A Museum with a Soul
It is one of those places where visitors feel a community behind the exhibition, the dedicated people who want the place to be special and to grow and evolve all the time. They also brought in the topic of space and its exploration, and there's a 15-minute planetarium show. It may be interesting for kids, but adults can easily skip it. The on-site eatery is okay, but it has a great view of the nearby airport. (There's also an observation deck.) The museum shop is huge and very theme-oriented.
